Seeing that I used to be an amateur mountain climber in Denver (no of that in Dallas), GSTRF needs to run a very classy marketing campaign where sat call are successfully completed on top of all the great peaks~ K2, Everest, Denali, Rainier, Ama Dablam, Fuji, etc...

This ad campaign would target just the right demographic and socioeconomic groups~ success and goal oriented high income adventure seekers with high incomes who travel the world needing to keep in touch while abroad.

BTW, at what temperature and altitude extremes does a G* phone even work?!

I was looking more at the economics. I think Aces and Thuraya will be much cheaper and that's why I think they may have a better market. Plus, the investment for an SP is so much lower because the gateway footprint is much larger, thereby enabling a single gateway to serve many countries.

"Cellular coverage alone has simply been unable to meet my demands for seamless voice communications," said Globalstar USA customer Jim Parkinson of Sandpiper Restaurants. "With Globastar USA, I now have the ability to stay in touch no matter where I travel in the U.S, Canada, and Mexico, and maintain a competitive edge."

Alright, Jim, now I'm mad that you didn't get me a phone for winning that GW contest! >:-[
