Dwight, you misunderstand my point about extreme optimism, it is not the 1 million not acheivable in the time frame he premised, actually thats where the poster argued the point that this was a pessimistic target based on avg. returns. The point is that people tend to talk up big targets when they are feeling good and optimism is high (and the mdd thread is a ghostown -g-), you don't hear this kind of talk now that the Dow has corrected 14% (and there are about 200 mdd posts over the weekend -g-) Now people are talking about the "old economy" -g- Yahoo and Amazon started a sideways consolidation for 10 months (amazon still) when they were given giant target prices in Jan 99 almost right on the day of their high. I'll bet qcom has a tough time with that 1000 target that was given just prior to it's 1/3 high. b
