Interesting quote. Makes me want to dig up the article; I, too, have access to Infotrac, a wonderful resource. I found myself wondering whether such a service might (in theory) be more helpful in selecting husbands and wives than the seemingly random method most people seem to use. My own husband (for example) and I seem to me to be unbelievably incompatible, but the union was approved by my favorite grandmother, one sister (the sane one), and my stepmother, a very sensible woman, as well as my father and brother, with reservations, although not the other sister (the crazy one), or my mother, a very erratic woman. We share a taste for Thai cuisine, reading, and silence. We both intend to vote for McCain, and both like manual transmissions. He hates bugs, I don't mind killing them. I hate poop, he doesn't mind cleaning the cat box or picking up dog poop. We are rapidly approaching our 20th anniversary.

Questions about the 'New SI'

Thanks for the response, Dan. But I would never have known that you responded, if I had not gone to Feelings to check out the latest posts.

Your post never got to my Inbox. So what's with the "improved" new Inbox??

Not only that, but I notice that there are no "To Me" or "From Me" folders. Inconvenient, because there is no way to keep track of posts I can't answer right away.

Oh, well -- there are threads for raising this sort of question. Should try one of them.
