this is for the YAHOOS ON YAHOO.....

please get the facts straight....and we'll all do better....

i found this:

SCON:
Very small, efficient cooler +
Thin film superconductor +

CDTS:
Old fashioned, inefficient cooler -
Thin film superconductor +

ISCO:
Old fashioned, inefficient cooler -
Thick film superconductor ???

the difference in the cryogenis between the "old fashioned, inefficient" coolers and the "very small, effecient" coolers is somewhat WRONG! the "old fashioned, inefficient" coolers are proven in the field tests and down time is know where the "very small, effecient" coolers, Steris, don't have the time in the field so they're more of an unknown for downtime and repairs.

thick film vs thin film....i've read where thin film advantage lies in the ability to be scaled down to smaller units than thick film....yet with the ISCO announcement friday of now having the smallest unit available this may not be of much concern...especially since shrinking everything these days is ongoing. i do know thick film is superior to thin film for the technical aspects like, um, minor things like eliminating interference. DUH! isn't this what all this clamor is really all about???
