Dan,

Over the weekend I was reviewing my own trading for about the last quarter. I had no fewer than 6 trades that I entered and exited on the same day. Some were OEX options, some stocks. Some were gainers, some not.

My broker has never said a word to me about this, which seems odd, given what I've been reading here. Now, it makes me wonder if I ought to continue that practice. That would mean I'd have to sit and watch a bad trade get worse until I could exit the next day... not something I'd like.

Ken

Hi Dan!

That was a very astute explanation and it sums it up perfectly. I realized something new after reading your answer. This detail may only occasionally occur when we are pushing the edge of quick turnarounds which create problems for the bookeeping part of it! That is were the daytrading outfits make their bucks clipping your account with countless transaction cost. So, in hindsight, that was how DLJ Direct viewed my trading activities. Again, that was over a 1 1/2 ago when they hit me with the Free Rider charge! I'm marked for life as a profit scalper!!! :-)

Maybe, that is why Wade Cook keeps sending me his mail seminar hype! I noticed he has dropped the entrance fee for a so call "free seminar" from $22 to just $12. Hummmm? I guess the Covered Calls (Amway©) Options King Pin is finally starting to show signs of running out of deep pockets to pick. His WADE stock has gone to the dogs. The last time looked it was at $3.50 and now????
