Tom, thanks for that link, I always find temple's thought's on the market intriguing.

the WTO upholding the ban on FSC's ( Foreign sales Corp) is good for the tax payers ( and you folks know who you are -g-)

and not as good for corporate profits of those companies that have benefited from them

-- The WTO upheld a decision today banning off shore tax shelters known as Foreign Sales Corporations (FSC), which helped save American exporters billions of dollars a year via tax subsidies. The FSC was scheduled to provide $4.1 bln in tax breaks in 2001 and $25 bln over the next few years for major companies such as Boeing and Microsoft, Caterpillar and GM. The EU claims that about 50% of all exports, or roughly $250 bln year, pass through tax shelters in the Virgin Islands, Barbados, and Guam, cutting between 15 to 30% of tax bills for US exporters every year.
