LG InfoComm USA To Buy Sprint CDMA
Phones For $150M

KANSAS CITY -- LG InfoComm USA, a unit of LG Information &
Communications Ltd. (Q.LGN) signed a memorandum of understanding
valued at about $150 million to purchase new code division multiple access,
Internet-ready wireless phones from Sprint PCS (PCS).

In a press release Monday, Sprint PCS said it expects to receive LG
InfoComm's Internet-ready phone models that will deliver Sprint PCS
Wireless Web services.

Sprint PCS said it expects shipment of the wireless phones to begin early this
year.
