It is unfortunate that this has turned into such an imbroglio, and I do blame McCain, even if the decision to go to BJU were flawed. A large chunk of the Reagan Democrats were Catholic, and although there is a pretty solid history of Catholics and Evangelicals working together for the last couple of decades, there is still a degree of skitterishness about the Bible Belt that can be easily played on.....
