Tench,

re: "missed vapor launch"

Are you saying Intel had NOT planned a vapor launch for the 850/866 today.

We are 2/3 of the way thru Q1 2000 and NO SPEED upgrades from Intel.

It would be amazing to me if there is no new speed grade released in Q1. Even more amusing would be a vapor lauch by end of march- just to have something in the conf call to talk about.

This would be most unusual.

In addition 2/28 had been noted as price cut day - reported widely - and also reflected even in pricewatch.

But of course Intel would have us believe Ramp is fine - yields are great and yet Intel lost further marketshare in Q1 2000.

Has the concept of burying your head where the sun don't shine reached EPIC proportions on mission college drive.

Long live Otellini!!!!

regards,

Kash.
