KZNerd,

Robert,
I downloaded and configured for messages for one stock. I told it to fetch and I've been waiting ever since because it seems to want to download all the messages before showing you any of them. Is this the way it is supposed to work? If so, I wouldn't consider it either usable or a worthy replacement for BrowseMaster.

First, thanks for trying out the Diligent Dingo(DDingo).
I have never used the BrowseMaster, but from what I can gather the DDingo's message viewing model is different from BrowseMaster's. You can view messages while the DDingo is fetching any other web resource. I think the problem here is just getting you started. The help for the DDingo is not currently integrated with the program, but is available on the diligentdingo.com web site. The DDingo 'Help' menu selection will spawn your default browser to this page for convenience.

Quickly, the DDingo uses the 'Outlook' type menu bar on the left side of the screen to let the user navigate the resources that the DDingo fetches. Clicking on 'Messages' will display the message view, clicking on 'Charts' will display the chart view, etc. So, after you've added your chosen stock ticker and then kicked off a 'Go Fetch Now' fetch, you can then click on the 'Messages' menu bar to display the messages that the DDingo has downloaded. The list box in the lower left corner will display all of the tickers and messages boards that you have configured. Clicking on one of the items in this list box will display all of the messages that the DDingo has currently fetched. If you are viewing the messages as they are being downloaded, you will need to click on the 'Refresh' button to update the display with all of the messages that have been fetched.

One hint to message viewing is that once you have clicked on a stock/message board selection in the lower left list box, you can then mouse click on the message list box in the center to display a message. This gives the list box 'focus'. You can then use the left and right keyboard arrows to move to the next and previous messages and the up and down keyboard arrows will scroll the message text. This is the best and fastest way to navigate all of the fetched messages.

Let me know if you need any more help, and let me know what you think about the DDingo.
