ability to sell before the high I can't tell you the number of times I've been about to sell stocks like ABSC, GLGC and VGIN and stopped only at the last minute when faced with short-term cap gains in a taxable account. So I guess I get to thank Uncle Sam for once. (Although with my GLGC basis a shade under $4 he's going to get his due at some point. <g>) I may give in and sell some covered calls. I guess I'd then have to go study that murky tax stuff about what that does to one's holding period and what happens if you buy the call back at a loss if the craziness continues. Peter
