Admit it, he's nothing but a liar.

McCain in S. Carolina debate: "I will never lie to you!"

McCain regarding anti-Catholic phone calls in Michigan: "I know nothing about them. They're not related to my campaign."

McCain on Saturday: "Yes, I approved the script for the phone calls. Yes, my campaign funded the effort."

>>the fact is that he did not speak at BJU

Because they wouldn't let him, McCain asked for an invitation.

>>he DID promptly and effectively denounce the BJU policies in question on national TV.

Only after he was snubbed. And only as part of McCain's campaign strategy to defame his opponent.

>>I see that as an example of his LEADERSHIP abilities.

Demogogues like McCain are usually lousy leaders. Though FDR is an exception.

>>leadership is the issue.

And it will take plenty to restore the GOP after McCain is finished.

McCain's denunciation of BJU did him no good in the SC primary. It was yet another courageous act in a life characterized by bravery and independence.
