The friend I was staying with in Florida is taking an EMBA. While I was there, his study group prepared a report for the class on the Capital Gains strategies of Canada and the US. Their conclusion was that the gross receipts for capital gains is approximately inversely proportional to the rate.

You are right Keith. A day of falling knives would overwelm Canadian brokers. You find out who is important when all the world is trying to trade. In this respect we are the last ones on the trading food chain. It will be raining Market Orders.
