Rambus In server applications, memory capacity is typically even more important than memory performance.
Old news, it has been known for a long time that the amount of Rambus available is limited by the number of channels supported by the memory controller. Many servers now have several gigabytes of memory, and it is the amount, not the speed, that is most important to those applications.
Still Rambus is currently above my valuation model although I have a poor track record in predicting momentum.

Rambus is involved in a lawsuit with Hitachi over recently granted patents. If Rambus should win all claims, they will be owed royalties on SDRAM, and DDRAM, as well as RDRAM. In such a case they would be the gorilla of memory architecture.
