flats, if you like to buy something think about how much you're prepared to pay, and imagine it as a range rather than a fixed price level, since you can never be 100% certain where the low will be. then buy in thirds within that range. that way you average down if your first purchase is a tad early, and you make sure you have something in place if it's timely.
same goes for selling, also in thirds.
i sometimes use a variation on the theme, buying and selling in halves.
