Hey, my average at Action Direct, from Royal Bank, is 45 minutes. This is an average, meaning sometimes it's 1 hour and more. So you see, I'm thinking of moving to TD for that sweet 20 minutes.

hi ward

i hear you. i mostly trade US stocks and got tired of trying to do it with scotia disc. now i use a b watley and trade on their level 11 screen. trades take about a second. they are good.

someone on one of the threads mentioned that pcquotes in conjunction with schwab gives one click trading for canadian stocks and that the process is the fastest at the present time. i'm in the process of investigating. just received my schwab info today and i have applied for a free trial at pcquotes. i suspect it will take till mid march to get everything up and running but i will post my findings here.

in the mean time good luck and good trading.
charlie

Ward, you've probably tried this, but during the last little while, when I can get on (groan), I have had some success putting in low-ball orders early and then revising them after they have cleared. They ordinarily become effective immediately after being revised.

A pain to have to work around like that, but it seems to work. And if Webbroken goes down after I've put in my low-ball, I revise it on TD Telemax ...

Ward it is more than frustrating to deal with Webbroken but if we all switch to Swabb do you think they will be able to handle the increased traffic?
I have noticed it is getting much worse and costs me loss opportunities several times a week.

Yesterday it took them 40 minutes to approve my trade to buy Gulf Canada at $4.45.I would have been filled.Today Gulf is trading at $5.10.
Their incompetence boarders on criminal. They are so arrogant because they know we dont have much choice.
