Hello to all AMD longs,

From AmdZone comes a reference to an article on Tom's Hardware site:

Tom's *ntel Roadmap
Reported by: Tom Belcher At: 3:01 PM Source: Tom's Hardware
Van Smith of Tom's Hardware has come out with another colorful assessment of *ntel's Q1 roadmap and how it relates to AMD. This was my favorite part:

In a few places in its presentation, Intel positions the Celeron against the Athlon, which is bizarre in itself, but Intel does this with statements like "Accelerated Intel Celeron roadmap will win in retail vs. K7." Given the Athlon's obvious superiority over all of Intel's current offerings, this can only mean that Chipzilla has broken out the crack pipe.

Kindest regards,
CrazyMan

Crazyold "AthWiper" Man - Re: "A short while back you were discrediting Anand and his benchmarks, as I recall you were labeling Anand as "...some pimply faced high school kid..."

Why don't you prove that I called Anand such a name.

Re: "Are Anand's benchmarks creditable or not??? Clarify please."

Yes they are - that's why you and SpryGuy are AthWiping all over this thread !

AMD has squandered a golden opportunity.

Paul

Dear Crazy - Re: "I'm confused here. Are Anand's benchmarks creditable or not??? Clarify please"

Anand has a history of AMD hype because AMD strokes his teenage ego with special AMD lab prototypes. When Anand, the AMD cheerleader, finds an Intel PIII superior to an AthWipey with a plus 100 MHz edge then rest assured that the AthWipey has "problems".
