Well that is the beauty of diversification. Even if most revolutions fail; 1x losers and 10x+ winners will be fine with me. I am quite sure most of today's IPO's will go to single-digits in 3-5 years. However, my goal is to ensure that this forecast has very little to do with my own personal investment performance over the same period. Successful, innovative companies are born every year - they aren't doomed to failure or guaranteed success because of any historical macro-trend. Today's economy is based on change. Companies need to build a system to adapt to change and this system evolves out of the management team in place. Amazon has excellent management.
