It turns out that money is not a very tall barrier to entry; ipr is much more effective. You also need to consider switching costs, which in this business model would be relatively low.

Globalstar seems more like a technology user than a technology leader. They're piggybacking off LOR's space expertise and QCOM's wireless technology. BTW, the Q has about 7% ownership of Globalstar.

Gorillas are a very rare find, but they are worth looking for since they have very special powers and offer very large returns for those who identify and invest in them. Sorry to be pedantic, but since the G&K gang expands a lot of effort in finding and testing potential pongids, I'm a little touchy about casual application of the Gorilla label.
