Chuck, I think that Tiger paw is one of those yankee drifters that came to the promised land when they couldn't make a living where they lived. In the 80s there were more Michigan license plates around than Texas plates. But that is not why I jumped in on your post. I hope you don't mind my using it for a comment.

I have seen tons of psi of hot air blowing across this thread, and a lot of it is amusing, and nothing more. I just hope all of the posters realize that, not one word anyone here has posted will have on iota of effect on the outcome of the elections. Now, I hope everyone has fun with their exercises in futility.

You don't do that without support from ...
You do it with lots of money. The Texas governorship is a powerless position, a vanity post. In this case Jr's run for President has been planned for quite a while. All it took was a lot of funds since the real race is for lieutenant governor (The governor was stripped of power during reconstruction after the Civil War).
