OT nihil, modernized Socialists

Would be great for the long term if it works out (not convinced).
You might want to add the environment to your list of important issues.

God you are full of it....

You are wrong in the SUN thread, you are wrong here...

Your kind has done enough damage in the 20th century, just look at africa which adopted kleptomaniac "socialism"

Have a nice day
Jean

Europe is a museum, the countries there have high unemployment and high taxes. In the UK you can purchase most goods with the same number of currency units as dollars, the only problem is the pound trades at 1.65 dollars to the pound.

The prescription you are talking about will lead to a nation of dependents that would rather take their hand out from the government than work. In the US our welfare system has created a dependent class that does not know how to or want to work.

I prefer minimal government and minimal gov't intrusion into my life where personal responsibility for ones actions and one's well being are required. We do not have it here and we may never. But I like the system we have better than the alternatives you espouse.

Sunny

OT: nihil, where have you been the last few decades? Haven't you learned anything?

You gush about "got to be the very next thing!", while praising out-of-date, failed Socialism. Your "modernized" Socialists wouldn't know small business entrepreneurialism if they woke up in bed with it. They want big businesses that they can unionize and control and tax, tax, tax. Whenever an entrepreneur starts eating their market share, the big businesses use their cronies in government to shut them out.

And just what do you think globalism means, anyway? It means that those entrepreneurs you suddenly like, don't have to stay in your benighted socialist countries. They can run their businesses elsewhere -- like in countries with economic freedom.
