OK, so LDT isn't exactly the same as Rambus. LDT uses unidirectional point-to-point signaling while Rambus uses simultaneous bidirectional signaling (almost). But the concept of high-speed signals over a narrow channel is the same.

Yeah, and England & France aren't exactly the same, but they share a narrow Channel.

To transmit any signal, unidirectional point-to-point will be the least subject to noise. And if LDT has a problem, removing one component won't be the solution as it seems to have been for those Intel/Rambus mobos!
