I would have liked to get Win2k, but it isn't available for the 5000 (or at least not yet), which meant that I would have had to go up to the 7500 and pack on another couple of pounds. Also, I would have lost the DVD capability, and the internal zip drive. So all told, it came down to more stability vs. less weight and fewer features. After everyone at my office said I was nuts to go for something very heavy, I opted to lighten the load.
