Hope you're right about that...AMD doesn't make their money in the low end...By late Q2, the low end for AMD may be 700MHz which will happan only if reduction in no. of non-Athlon units is offset by an equal or greater no, of Athlon units...A mix of 100% Athlons would have an ASP greater than $200 at existing prices. A mix of 50% Athlon to non-Athlon would result in an ASP $125. A mix of 15%/85% Athlon/non-Athlon (i.e. Q4) resulted in an ASP of $80...An $80 ASP contributed significantly to record Q$ earnings of $0.43...Imagine what AMD earnings will be when ASP is $125 and later, approaching $200...
