Taking it very slowly indeed: In no way did I indicate that "words speak louder than actions" Ron's original point was: Most of those words were bluster aimed at covering up a MAJOR CONCESSION, namely that Bejing has conceded to deal with Taiwan on a "state to state" basis, and not as a rebel province. This is the "action" to which I referred. Your reply: I am more inclined than some to take dictatorships at their word when they announce their intent. From this it seems fairly clear that you feel that you define the intent of the Chinese regime not by the action referenced by Ron, but by the words contained in the recently released document. Given that juxtaposition, the "words speak louder than actions" tag seemed entirely reasonable. If I say I'm walking east when I am in fact walking west, which way am I walking?
