jill...glw and jdsu...

not saying not to like glw...only saying they aren't comparible in the fiber optic sector as their primary business aren't identical...

why do "investors" have this attitude of one company over another in the sense that it has to be a "win-lose" situation....this attitude only prevails in the minds of "investors"...real world business the relationships are a bit more symbiotic.....

glw glass sold to cable assemblers has no use if it can't be lit by the products of jdsu, sdl, etek....gotta understand the food chain and how products meld......this is something the "investor" tends to miss, as misinformation abounds...the "investor" throws out "hi tech buzz words" that don't mean a thing, it gets down to the basic final installation that ultimately generates revenue and gives purpose for all that it comprises.

so in order for jdsu and glw(component makers) to be healthy, then the upstream end user as lu, nt, alcatel(system design builders) must be robust....one cannot live without the other....like comparing intc and dell....
