Nothing showing up at the moment. Inventories are going to drive the situation over the next few months, and they are on the side of the consumer. (g)

Also, for the first time that I can remember, BIT growth slowed significantly during the latter half of 1999. The analysts ceased any discussion of revenues years ago, and used "bit growth" as a means to mask the semi industry's horrendous revenue implosion. Now even bit growth has slowed. Yuk. How the heck any analyst can see positive things ahead in the memory industry is way beyond me.

I agree with your comments about new capacity coming on stream, and this is on top of staggering internal yield growth last year. With PC unit sales growth continuing to slowly shrink (never mind PC revenues), I wouldn't own ANY memory producer's stock, even if they were priced appropriately. From an earnings point of view, the next while looks like a wasteland for them.
