Hi. Just dropping by because someone who shall be nameless (you) let me know that SI Bob was being raked over the coals a bit here, and that person (you) knows I like the man and feel he does a very, very good job. Even though he told me to stop posting some information I'll paste below because it was effectually spam, and thus against the TOU. Which I understood he had to do, because precedent is all in such administrative jobs, and it was demanded of him by an irate member, one TraderAlan.

There is an argument to be made that there should be no TOU, of course. But given that there are in the SI universe, I'll go on record as offering a testimonial based on the very civilized, and even helpful, manner in which I was chastised for violating them.

In case anyone is just DYING for a reminder, this is the approximate text I was "spamming," and which resulted in a demand by TraderAlan of the Daytrading Fundamentals thread to have me kicked off SI. (I wasn't even suspended, however; I was just asked, gently, to stop.)

(Undoubtedly coincidentally (it was Thanksgiving at the time, holiday spirit presumably abounded, except on the Daytrading Fundamentals thread, I mean), the number of cups of food donated daily has regrettably dropped from 4 to today's 1 3/4).

So here's that text that was at issue in my encounter with SI Bob.

To All: Here is a wonderful site. You might want to visit it daily, and email it to all your friends with the suggestion that they do it, too, and pass it on to their friends. You'll see why if you go there:

thehungersite.com

You simply click the button once a day and your click will have induced a corporate sponsor to donate a specified amount of free food to a hungry person.

The amount of food -- rice, wheat, maize or other staple food -- you send by your click varies according to how many corporations (or, occasionally, individuals) are sponsoring the site that day. Today it is _____ cups.

Maybe your company would even want to sponsor the site? Each sponsor pays for 1/4 cup of food....

"Every 3.6 seconds someone dies of hunger; 3/4 of the deaths are children under 5."

(Sorry for the interruption!)
