I suppose you're right. One way you're on margin, the other way you're leveraged (and could wind up on margin!). All I know is a little while back I sold a Feb 180 put on JDSU for $19 and bought the Feb 200 call for $19. But I wouldn't have spent $18,500 to buy 100 shares. It worked out.
