I certainly have seen the pattern over and over. The biggest indicator I try to follow in gauging how a stock will perform is the volume indicators. But I worry when I see increasing volume with little price improvement since that usually indicates distribution. This is where the "houses" purchasing can come in under the radar screen, imo. Buying when a position is being liquidated.
