John: Curious what the source of the article you just posted is.

Who does Scott Moritz, Staff Reporter work for?

Whatever the publication, this is a stone age approach.

The maximum joke is Snyder is quoted as a serious source:

"Mobile data services are essentially nonexistent in North America," Chase H&Q analyst Edward Snyder wrote in a recent report. "While the future looks bright for data services, today's infrastructure can only support low-rate, circuit-switched connections at best and voice-only at worst." Snyder has a buy on Nokia and Motorola and a market perform on Qualcomm and Ericsson. His firm has not done any banking with these companies.

How this guy continues to be employed would be an very interesting case study.

There are a few possibilities that come to mind:

Nepotism

He is an effective hired gun for the bears

There is a market for anti Q quotes

H&Q management is asleep

Best.

Chaz
