That's an entirely different subject. I agree that RAMBUS will probably be successful in PSII because SONY has complete control over the mobo design and manufacture, and only uses a few parts. That's not the case in the PC industry, where there are numerous device, RIMM and mobo makers. And I also have to believe that the IP revenues from this product are negotiated at much lower percentages than for the PC business.
<Rambus is successful because of its superior technology. Period.>
Rambus success in the PC industry has still to be determined, I think. And that's where the real volumes for DRAM are.
