Compaq is nothing more than a hangnail on the fickle finger of Wall Street, a pimple on the ass of progress, a fat, foundering, floundering, wallowing hog that deserves to be taken out behind the barn and shot. I'm going to go to the range, hit some balls, and think of how I could have made a far wiser investment selection by having thrown a dart at a page of the Wall Street Journal. El

NW......Blast from the Past...... 1998 CPQ Thread Picks (from NOV '98) SNDK .... + 1368% CREE .... + 843% CIEN .... + 766% CPQ ..... + 563% (just kidding!) THDO .... + 375% NOVL .... + 95% TLAB .... + 75% CRUS .... + 65% CA ...... + 60% FATB, IOM, WSTLA, MSPQ, and others didn't do as well. Conclusion: Aggregately 200% + gains on stocks other than CPQ from CPQ Thread members .... not bad! Nice to see that analysts are finally recognizing that CPQ has "assets", until now they realized that that CPQ only had half of that. Loki
