I know Bennett was never a Trotskyite, and the neocons who worked in the Reagan administration never were either. But they've inherited the urge to censor or purge if one is not "pure" enough.

Just because one had leftist views at one time doesn't matter to me, but it'd be nice to see them leave their leftist baggage behind.

Thomas Sowell was a Marxist in college, he succeeded in shaking off leftism entirely.
