Airlines want to be sure of identity of passengers on their planes so they can tie passenger to luggage and be sure the same person actually gets on the plane -- all this for greater security. The key word is "biometrics" which apparently this card is good at. I think this is a very big deal and is what all airlines will want for the majority of their passengers soon. The more that have it the faster they can process passengers and luggage especially on higher risk international flights.

The importance of this announcement is that another non-government relationship is developing. Growth is limited with just government as a customer. Private sector interest raises the possibility of "unlimted' growth. JW

Unisys wouldn't climb on board id they didn't think it would significantly streamline things further.
