Computer Horizons to Build First Legal Web Site for E-Voting March 11th Arizona Democratic Primary to be World's First Legally-Binding Public Election Allowing Votes to be Cast Via the Internet MOUNTAIN LAKES, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 29, 2000-- Computer Horizons Corp. (CHC) (NASDAQ: CHRZ) announced today that Election.com (http://www.election.com) has selected CHC to develop the E-Voting system that will be used to support the Arizona Democratic Primary on March 11th. This event will mark the first time in the nation's history that a legal public election will be held over the Internet. Utilizing Election.com's election processing software as a foundation, Computer Horizons will be responsible for all of the technical aspects of the election including project management, systems integration, networking, security, and system logistics. The development and testing effort has been underway at Election.com's headquarters in Garden City, New York. Once operational, the system will be maintained at an undisclosed secure site. Beginning on March 7th, Arizona democratic voters will be able to vote over the Internet 24 hours a day. Voter access will be controlled by a Personal Identification Number (PIN) provided in advance to all registered voters. Internet voting will also be available on the day of the election at 100 polling locations throughout Arizona. "We needed a systems integration specialist who had the technical talent, project management experience and the flexibility required to meet the complex demands inherent in an undertaking of this type," said Richard H. Arends, Senior Vice President for Election.com. "CHC had all of the skills and our collective progress to date is proof positive that we made the right choice." "I'm honored to have my team involved in such a unique project," said Dr. Shean-Lan Ho, Computer Horizons' Vice President for Strategic Systems Planning. "In partnership with Election.com, we are committed to making Internet voting easy, effective and secure." "Engagements like this validate our e-Business vision and the strategy we have put in place," commented John Cassese, Computer Horizons' CEO and Chairman. "Once the Arizona Primary is complete, the system is expected to be leveraged into several pending public and private election engagements," added Cassese.
