I know there was cause for some euphoria during market hours on Tuesday, but really! >>Currently, the distribution ratio at spin-off date is about 1.4 ( 500mil PALM /300 mil COMS outstanding shrs ). Can this ratio go up ? If from now till the time of spin-off, people buying COMS shares like crazy, say, bought 100 mil shares by then, does it mean the ratio will become 2.5 ( 500mil share of PALM / 200 mil of COMS shrs outstanding then ), is this correct ? Say what? Where do you think those 100 million shares come from? I'll tell you - from other COMS shareholders. Don't you suppose the new owners of those shares will be expecting Palm shares too? The real and ONLY issue will be how many COMS shares are outstanding. The fact that they will change hands over and over doesn't affect the total number of outstanding shares. But you knew that...... right?
