OT -- everyone is so stupid that they can't make their own choices and take their own risks of their own free will -- Yes, that is the message of human history. People cannot live together without government. All else is anarchy. No people can trade successfully without regulation. The most foresighted will become monopolists and crush their competitors. The strong will enslave the weak, unless government frees the slaves. There is no natural limit to the degree of governmental intervention and control. Most people have learned that it is dumb for government to try to manufacture steel or run a restaurant; but it is just as dumb to let a private for profit business run education or impose taxes. The internet is a perfect example of the need for government to control anarchy. Thieves and hackers would steal us blind. Anyone who wishes can break into brokerage accounts and steal anything.
