Pr, i should have been clearer but i was referring to articles on Yahoo (which i dont have bookmarks for) when the DOW first plunged on fri . It didnt matter they said the NIkkei was following the lead of the naz now... THen the DOw recoup some of its losses and they said because the dow got a bit better the Nikkei followed... I was just making a comment about how things are presented in the media. As to the composition of the Nikkei, it is probably closer to the SPX but more volatile.

As to a weaker yen helping the nikkei, that would probably be the case, but if you are using the premise that you first have to exchange usd to invest in the nikkei, than a devalued yen is cutting into you returns...
