Elroy, I believe Qcom spun off the last of their chip manufacturing facilities and now exclusively develop technology.

As far as my class is concerned, no go. I am forming an actual investment club with my students (real time, real money) and we are working on the question of how to analyze tech firms (and present the results) for inclusion in the portfolio. I may do the first work up, and present some of it on Aware, and in that context it would be interesting to perform what I have suggested, namely a comparison with QCOM or RMBS (or both). There are real "conflict of interest" questions, however, with having my students engage in leg work that i then profit from, the more so in that I'm not even teaching the class on investments.

I understand the idea though. jess ;^)
