"Q" - PGO has FPSO's and IS deepwater seismic - does land too - see the PR

... with P here - which got ZERO response. Read some analyst reports on PGO - another cakewalk to 50% upside here, there will be no BOOM 2000 without $22-26 PGO ($30 wouldnt surprise me.

"Q" - go back and look at the chart for the spring of 1998 for VTS - it was THE momenteum stock. SEISMICs pour earnings to the bottomline when things start cooking...

Some of the small cap E&P's overbought seismic - MEXP BEXP had to give stock warrants to pay for them etc; but there are tons of prospects yet to be mapped & their data libraries are like fields being planted...ready to harvest.

Both of these are core holds in my non-trading LT portfolio - big, core holds... and great traders as well.

PGO is one of the premier LT plays because of their FPSO niche - when the GOM opens up;PGO becomes a runner...

They beat SLB here on the P contract - LARGEST IN HISTORY ! and the stock didnt move...

PGS says wins big Phillips seismic deal
OSLO, Feb 24 (Reuters) - Petroleum Geo-Services (NYSE:PGO - news) said on Thursday that Phillips Petroleum Co (NYSE:P - news) awarded it a major seismic contract to survey China's Bohai Bay.

PGS said that the deal was ``the largest multi-component seismic contract in the seismic industry to acquire and process a data set for Phillips Petroleum Company. The project will start in the spring of 2000 and continue for several months.' It did not give the value of the deal.

``This multi-component data set will be acquired over the PL 19-3 field in China's Bohai Bay,' it said. PGS said it won the contract after a competition with Schlumberger.
