Gary:

I was about to write that PALM will prop up COMS whatever COMS earnings are, until I remembered that Q3 is PALM's seasonally slow quarter as well. In fact, in the last two years, Q3 for PALM has been sequentially down from Q2 in revenues. I can just imagine how the analysts who missed this huge run-up will jump all over the numbers if Palm VII hasn't been enough to reverse the seasonal pattern.

Something to keep in mind if you're still in COMS the week of 3/20 when earnings will come out for both COMS and PALM.

David T.

Gary..

I would not dare to short this one...still reasonable PE
compared to CSCO and then PALM under her belt...so pull back be very shallow and short lived and bounce will be unnerving for the shorts. I was trying to short MU this morning at 85 and luckily cancel the order in time and went long. People are going to look at QCOM chart when they trade COMS because that is the kind of circumstances COMS is in now.

Gary, I think you would be playing with fire if you try shorting COMS, unless the tech mania ends. If the mania continues, COMS may even double from here.

If you believe the mania is ending (that's a very very very tough call), then there are plenty of companies that are better short targets than COMS+PALM -- you know, the ones with no earnings and practically no revenues that have multi-billion valuations.
