All the semiconductors are going nuts today, not just BRCM, but MU, TXN, RMBS, TXN....and in reading the SSB comments, that by itself does not explain this kind of move, particularly with most of the other tech stocks not participating. There is word today that TXN is talking about real shortages developing in a lot of semi areas, DRAM being one of them. That would explain both the semi strengths and also the lack of follow through from other stocks like DELL, MSFT, INTC, et. al.
