Quote from S&P site describing the 500: "this popular index includes a representative sample of leading companies in leading industries" Tell me why the NAZ has moved up 340% since Oct 98 while the S&P 500 has moved up only 40%. Do you think people buying NAZ stocks are buying stocks that aren't "leading companies in leading industries"? I assert that S&P 500 is out of touch with the real world. A year or two ago, Andy Grove said that in 5 years all companies will be internet companies. There's not much time left... BTW, is there anyone on this thread that does not think JDSU is a leading company in a leading industry?! Anyone want to step up and deny that? Anyone want to get a barrage of postings which spank your butt all the way to the moon?
