KY, actually I take that back, the H&S pattern could still be valid, I just didn't move the right shoulder lines (started drawing them much earlier in the day.

I don't trade these at all; I'm looking for test of top/bottom failures and retracements when something is trending strongly. That's all I trade. So I don't have a good feel for how often they work - I see them all the time in multiple time frames. My feeling is the longer the time frame that caused the formation, the more likely it is to deliver...

KY: I think the reliability of H&S patterns is so small, I never play one in and of itself and rarely at that! However, to answer your question...my general rule is the longer pattern controls.
