Soon TPJ will issue verdict that MSFT violated Sherman
act. Then MSFT will come out and say it disagrees and
disappointed. A few frivolous lawsuits might appear.
Then we will get inot remedial phase, while MSFT will
appeal in court.

Wall street will get bored of this again, and move focus
to earnings and revenues and products.

In the mean time, Gates and Balmer must be high fiving
each other on how scared the street is.

Remember, Buy MSFT when it is totally out of favor.

Microsoft is dead money until they settle this mess.

This stock should be trading at twice the current price, but why should Gates and Ballmer care? They are already so filthy rich that a few more billion just doesn't make any difference to them.

However, Microsoft is going to find it MUCH harder to attract new talent with a dead money stock, and Microsoft will be left with those just waiting for old stock options to vest.

johnd,

Sounds like we've both been around the block on this one. I've been in since august of 94...

just a quick story. I bought at the unadjusted price of $55/share (adjusted around 7 or so), price rises in a year to $110/share (adjusted around $14) around the release of W95, then drops to the mid 80s (adjusted ~11).

Compare that with the price now, and you'll understand why I hold. In a year this will be a memory, and not particularly a bad one.

Okay, I'll admit the doj case makes me nervous, but mostly my reaction is "been there, done that"

dls

johnd-- I am still in the black and will hold. More disgusted than anything as W2K and general NAS action indicates MSFT should be MUCH higher. JJ must be short ,, LOL!
