You can plot gold, silver, platinum in at least 100 different currencies for various timeframes.
The Euro chart doesn't look to much different for the $US chart
For real fun, plot gold in Indonesian rupiah during 1997-1998, went from 1 million to 4 million rupiah per ounce.

Searle: You may enjoy doing some rand plots. As gold declined from $US400 in 1996 to $US300 recently (a 33% drop), the SA rand went from 3.5 to 6.5 per $US, which means gold has gone from 1400 rand to 1900 rand (a 36% increase) in the last four years
