Interest rate on GPF cut to 11%

Mumbai, Feb 29: Cutting the interest rate on general provident fund (GPF) by one per cent to 11 per cent finance minister Yashwant Sinha sent yet another signal: the centre wants to usher in a low interest rate regime. The cut in GPF rates follows an identical cut in public provident fund (PPF) in January. The cut in GPF will take effect from April 1.......
