OT TERN
Do you know whose headend equipment is used by Roger's

I haven't kept track of TERN this year (sold when I thought it was overvalued in the 40s--oops!) but they did sell headends, along with some cheap stock warrants, to Rogers and the other big Canadian MSO, Shaw. I dimly remember headend sales to Sumitomo and UPC as well.

My guess--and bear in mind this may well be influenced by all the money I left on the table here--is that TERN is moving more on the story of its growing broadband portfolio (they are trying to enter a bunch of new markets like RBAKs) than the cable biz, and is being helped along by: a)Gilder cultists; b)short covering; and c)friendly i-banks who have noticed how much M & A biz TERN's strategy is likely to generate.

It is back on my radar screen, but primarily because I'm guessing it will make a decent short in a few quarters. I'm keeping an open mind for now...
