If somebody didn't tell you -- those are old economy stocks

Tippet, (is that your name or what you been doing all day?... :0)... While I'm no fan of MSFT, I also am not stupid or naieve enough to believe that a company with $30 BILLION in cash is so "old economy" that it can't re-invent itself. If MSFT did nothing else, it could become an effective ecommerce incubator like CMGI and make a fortune on its Venture Capital deals.

Michael Dell may have gotten his start in the direct sales PC business, but he is savvy enough to transition that brand name into any number of other business models that he so chooses.

I'm actually going to enjoy watching you guys get squeezed. I saw a lot of similar arrogance on the part of the shorts who were foolish to short up to 1/2 of another company's stock, a company that many professionals said was done for or would never become a standard. Look what happened to it today:

SQUEEZE 'EM HARD!!!!!

As for DELL, if direct sales via the internet, or providing the infrastructure or expertise to enable other company's to do the same isn't "new economy", then I wish you would take the time to educate me.

Regards,

Ron
